This is an antique oil on canvas painting of a young woman picking plants in the forest. Presented in an ornate gold antique frame. Signature in the lower-left corner of Cummins. The painting is in very good condition for the antique era, without holes. The frame has been partially restored and repainted.

The reverse of the canvas depicts the antique framing clasps known as Shattuck (dated February 1883 - June 1885), invented in 1883 by Aaron Draper Shattuck, a 19th-century painter living in the northeast.
Framed size 24 x 18 inches, painting size 18 x 12 inches.
